Registered Psychologist
Hello...welcome to my webpage.
Some time ago, I came across a declaration that shook me upright:
"I am not going to create a reality about a story that is not my own!"
After my "Wow!" subsided, I realized how this reflection captures the essence of my own journey to become and practice as a psychotherapist. How fitting to describe the process of healing and personal transformation - becoming all you can be in a grounded, campassionate way.
Perhaps, this declaration speaks to you as well. After all, we only hurt ourselves when we suppress our desire for a more authentic life!!
I've been practicing as a psychotherapist for about 15 years. I remain passionate about my work...being at the pivotal junctures in people's lives is so rewarding.
While "we are much more simply human than otherwise" (Harry Stack Sullivan, 1947), each client brings his or her own unique life challenges into the therapy room. As such, I use a variety of approaches to to meet my clients' needs. These include self-regulation therapy, somatic experiencing, bodynamics, cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic.
I offer counselling for a wide range of issues related to trauma, relationship problems, anxiety, and depression.
In recent years, clients have also been seeking help for integrating spirituality into their lives. I have discovered this to be another rewarding aspect of my work.

My involvement with MyShrink
I have keen a interest in the mind-body connection and how neuroscience elaborates the changes that emerge in psychotherapy.
Not surprisingly, I have enjoyed participating as a reviewer for MyShrink.
