Holistic Massage Therapy - an Interview with Erika Moore

Because some of our emotional pain is rooted in the non-verbal moments of our early infancy, talk therapy alone may not be enough. That's the exciting message of neuroscience.

If you want to complement your psychotherapy with an approach that gets to the root of both physical and emotional pain, consider the benefits of holistic massage.

Listen in as I interview Erika Moore about her holistic approach to massage therapy and discover what this type of massage can do for you.

Effects of Yoga

We now have a much better idea of how yoga can literally change the brain. But of course yogis have been saying this for years...

You'll enjoy reading Corinne's story of transformation...where she was and what she needed to do to get where she was going. I was certainly inspired.

What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?

An old colleague of mine from my days in training for body psychotherapy found MyShrink and sent me a note - which is always kind of cool. I roped her into submitting this article on her work as a Craniosacral Therapist. She didn't need too much convincing. She's passionate about the subject!

I encourage most of my clients to do some form of bodywork as part of their therapeutic work. If you're looking for support in between sessions, bodywork therapy is well worth considering. Read what Brenda has to say to learn why.

The Benefits of Holistic Massage Therapy

Erika Moore is a Registered Massage Therapist who uses a holistic therapeutic approach. Erika and I have been working with the same clients for years and we are in agreement that this partnership has certainly been beneficial to our clients.

I regularly refer my clients to her because many of my clients suffer from body complaints and injuries. I also know that holistic bodywork helps to contain the activation that sometimes gets triggered through psychotherapy.

And Erika has mentioned to me on numerous occasions that she is comforted in the knowledge that if a client becomes triggered during a bodywork session, the  processing can be done soon after in therapy.
